Chilli Growing Kit

Chillies are very rewarding plants to grow - they look great and can produce large crops. This kit contains all you need to grow your own chillies from seed in our new glossy gift box. The kit contains:

Apart from the pencil and the plant markers, all the components of this kit are available separately. Chilli seed germination and plant growth needs a temperature of at least 20c. Either score around the top and use it as a lid, scooping the cheese out, or cut through the wax like you would a cake. We infuse the oil with the chillies for three weeks just long enough for the chilli flavour to assert itself, but not so long that it takes over. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Nudo olive oil is made from 100% Italian olives. If you could take an Italian olive grove and squeeze it into a tin, the result would be Nudo olive oil. All the flavour and freshness of 100% Italian olives and even the same feeling of bliss. Our oil is all extra virgin and cold pressed (to maximise quality, taste and health-giving properties) and the olives are pressed within hours of being picked. Simple rules to produce a flavour that’s as fresh as a daisy. Excellent for drizzling, dipping and roasting.

All the best olive oil is ‘extra virgin’ and ‘first cold press’. There is sometimes confusion about this terminology. ‘Extra virgin’ means the oil has the lowest possible acidity (less than 0.8%) and the highest proportion of polyphenols which are the anti-oxidants so beneficial to health. It is the highest grade oil with the best flavour. ‘First cold press’ refers to the way the olives are treated at the mill; in first cold press, this means using no heat (which extracts more oil of a lower quality) and using only the oil from the first press. Many olive oil producers will re-press the olive paste from the first press to make a lower grade oil. Nudo never does this.

Toasted Muesli - Buckwheat

Buckwheat is a bit special...although it's not a cereal, its can be used in exactly the same. The thing is...there's no gluten. And, not only is it jolly good for you, but it's really tasty too...especially when it's roasted and combined with all sorts of other stuff. A gluten free blend of toasted buckwheat and crisped rice, with raisins, sultanas, mixed seeds, coconut, honey and a pinch of cinnamon. Wow now that's a start to the day!
